We met a new neighbor, and her daughter's name is spelled Aoife. I didn’t want to mispronounce it, so I just smiled and avoided saying her name

Heyy again, I was having a conversation with a friend, and I said, 'He runs like a cheetah.' Later, I started wondering if I used 'like' correctly. Could you explain when to use 'like' versus 'as' in such comparisons?

I was researching rare words and found "xenodochial," which means "hospitable to strangers." I’m unsure if it’s "zen-o-doh-kee-al" or something else. Could you tell me how to say it properly?

Hi! I just wanted to check with you about something real quick please Adam’s working on some adverb placement rules for homework, and we’re a bit confused about sentences like "He always is late" vs. "He is always late." I don’t want to teach him the wrong thing 😅

We have this time a tricky situation with "there" and "their," and I could use your help clarifying!

My daughter wrote: "Look, the toys are over their!" — I’m pretty sure that’s not right, but I’m not sure how to explain why. 🤔

At the park, she asked: "Is that their ball or someone else’s?" — Now I’m wondering if this use of "their" is spot on or not.

Hi teachers in dinner, my son was reading a label on an orange liqueur bottle and asked me about the name Curaçao. I told him I’d check with someone who knows better.

There was a vocabulary assignment, and they had to write sentences using tricky-to-pronounce words. Worcestershire was on the list, and we’re still unsure how to say it. Thank you for your help.

Dear teacher, I was reading a product review, and the customer wrote, “This vacuum cleaner is both reliable and dependable.” It got me thinking—aren’t those the same thing?

Hi Mrs, walked into a little bookstore, and the owner greeted me by saying, “It’s so warm and cozy in here.” Not sure if she meant the temperature or the vibe :D

Hallo :) , I was organizing a dinner party, and my cousin said that the wine complemented the dish perfectly. Later, I realized I had always thought "complement" was just a fancy way of saying "compliment," and now I’m confused about the difference.

Morniing All!! While reading aloud, I came across the word "fallacious" and said it confidently. But my friend looked at me funny and said I pronounced it incorrectly. Can you help me say it the right way?

Dear teacher, Liam came home yesterday looking a bit overwhelmed. His English assignment on participle phrases has him scratching his head, and I’m not sure how to explain it in a way that clicks for him. I was hoping you could go through the basics. Thank you !

Salam teachers! I thought it might help if you could explain the principle of phrase practice through a short story or real-life examples. For instance, you could describe a scene like, "Running through the park, Liam felt the wind in his hair," and then break it down to show how the participle phrase adds detail.
