Level 4

Level 4 of Novakid programme is created for children of 11-12 years old. The course allows the child to reach a high level of language proficiency, harmoniously combining rich vocabulary, advanced grammar, informative texts for reading and fascinating conversations with the teacher. After completing Level 4, a child can take the Level A2 Exam (YLE Flyers) (Listening and Speaking)

Students expand vocabulary on the following topics:

Level 4 (Flyers) grammar includes the following definitions and structures:

  • Present Simple, Present Continuous tenses and the difference between them
  • Future Simple tense
  • conditional sentences of type 0 and 1 (If ..., then ...)
  • should / shouldn't
  • comparative adjectives with the structures 'as ... as', 'not as ... as'
  • articles in the names of geographical objects
  • verbs must / mustn't, have to / don't have to
  • prepositions of place
  • Present Perfect tense
  • passive constructions (Present Simple Passive)
  • too / enough
  • difference between Present Perfect and Past Simple
  • 'going to' structure and features of its use
  • conjunctions so, or, but, because, and
  • adverbs used to express a sequence
  • punctuation marks ? / !

The child can accurately read the learned vocabulary, understands and answers questions on fairly long texts.
