What is a Comparative Adverb?
Hello, I hope you're doing well! My child is working on an English assignment about comparative adverbs and could use a little extra help understanding the concept. Could you possibly clarify how comparative adverbs are formed please

Hi there

 Thank you for your question.

Comparative adverbs are used to compare two or more actions, describing how one action is done in relation to another. They are formed when you add “-er” to the adverb for short adverbs, or by using “more” at the beginning of the base form of the adverb for longer adverbs.

For example:

-            quickly, becomes “more quickly”

-            cheerful becomes “more cheerfully”

-            She runs faster than him

I hope this helps answer your question and I look forward to answering any further questions you may have.
