Indefinite Article Practice
Helloz All ☺️ I hope you're having a great day!
My kiddo understands the basics of Indefinite Articles (a/an) , but certain exceptions—like words starting with silent "h" or vowel sounds—are confusing.

Would you have any tips or simple explanations to help clarify this?

Hello! Here’s a simplified way to explain the rules:

For words with a silent "h", like "hour" or "honor," use "an" because they sound like they start with a vowel.

If the "h" is heard, like in "house" or "hat," use "a" because they sound like they start with a consonant. Hope this helps!
