Identify conjunctions through grammar exercises

Greetings to you and your family, David!
Conjunctions are words that join words, phrases, or clauses together in a sentence. Conjunctions are frequently used between the things they connect. Sometimes, they can be used at the beginning of sentences, and the first of a pair of correlative conjunctions.
Regarding your kid's homework, let's clarify the usage of the conjunction 'but'. This conjunction connects ideas that contrast.
Using the sentence in your exercise:
"She wanted to go to the park, but it started raining."
The first clause "She wanted to go to the park " is a contrast to "it started raining". She wanted to go out BUT she can't because of the rain.
