I hope you're doing great, too!

The subject of a sentence can be a noun or a pronoun that performs the action of the sentence.

A verb is an action word just like 'eat', 'run', 'sleep', or 'read'.

The object of a sentence is a noun or a pronoun that receives the action of the subject.

In your homework:

"The cat chased the mouse around the house."

Subject: The cat

Verb: chased (past tense)

Object: the mouse
