Common vs Collective and Proper Noun Explanation with Examples

At Amanda’s birthday party, a crowd of kids gathered around the table. Suddenly, the cake was missing! Lily’s dog Max barked loudly. Was it Tom, her best friend, or maybe even the band of clowns who performed earlier?
The task is to identify proper nouns, common nouns, and collective nouns. My kid loves the story but got confused with some answers—could you check?

Greetings to you and your kid, Haruto Tanaka.
Proper nouns are names used for specific persons, places, organizations, or things, and these nouns always begin with a capital letter. Oppositely, common nouns are used to name a general person, place, or thing, and these nouns are spelled with small letters.
For example:
Proper nouns could be "Anthony, Mari, Japan, Uniqlo, or Kadokawa". On the other hand, common nouns could be "a man, a girl, a country, a shirt, or a business".
Lastly, collective nouns are names used to refer to groups of people, animals, or things.
For example:
- a class: a group of students
- a pack: a group of wolves
- a bouquet: a group of flowers
