Certain adjectives go with certain prepositions. Unfortunately, there are no rules for which adjective to use with which preposition. It is something that must be learned and remembered. A good idea would be to get the list of linked adjectives and prepositions and study them.
For the examples that you included, here are the prepositions linked to those adjectives:
'She's proud of her achievements'
'They're interested in learning new things'
