When to use "it's" vs "its"?
Hii! I was writing a letter for the school fundraiser and found myself second-guessing whether to use "its" or "it's" in one of the sentences. Can you help me understand the difference?

Hi, Mekki! That's an excellent question and knowing the differences is important.
1. 'Its' is a possessive pronoun. This means it shows ownership or belonging to something.
Example Sentences:
   - The cat chased its tail.
   - The company updated its policy.

2. 'It's' is a contraction of 'it is' or 'it has.' This means it combines those two words into one shorter word. You use 'it's' when you mean to say 'it is' or 'it has.'
Example Sentences:
   - It's going to rain today. (It is going to rain today.)
   - It's been a long day. (It has been a long day.)

Thank you and hope this helps!
