When to use "Anticoagulant" vs "Antiplatelet"?
Salam! I thought you might have some insights on the following: after reading a news article about heart health, I wondered about the specific situations where antiplatelet versus anticoagulant treatments are recommended.

Hello!

There are two types of blood thinners – anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs. Anticoagulants work by interfering with blood protein to lengthen the time it takes to form a blood clot. Antiplatelet drugs prevent blood cells called platelets from clumping together to form a clot.

I hope this helps!
