What is the difference between "Enunciate" and "Pronunciate"?
Good day) While reviewing a textbook on linguistics, I stumbled upon the terms "enunciate" and "pronunciate," and I'd love to understand their nuances better, so I figured you'd be the best teacher to ask.

Hello!  "Enunciate" pertains to clear speech and pronunciation, while "pronunciate" has a different, less commonly used meaning related to declaring or announcing.  Often considered incorrect in place of "pronounce."

Enunciate focuses on how clearly someone speaks or pronounces words, emphasizing the clarity and distinctness of speech.

Pronunciate, while less common and often not used in standard English, historically meant to announce or declare something publicly or officially.

Hope this helps!
