"To" vs. "From": Differences and Usage
While reading a travel blog, I noticed the writer said, "We drove to the mountains from the city," and I wondered why "to" and "from" are used together. Does "to" always indicate direction and "from" origin, or are there exceptions?

Hello! Great observation!  "To" indicates direction, and "from" indicates origin. In the sentence "We drove to the mountains from the city," "to" shows the destination (the mountains) and "from" shows the origin (the city). Using both together is common in travel descriptions to clarify the start and end points. Hope that helps!
