How to Use Curious and Curiouser?
I was reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to my son last night, and Alice exclaimed, "Curiouser and curiouser!" It sounded funny because I thought "curiouser" wasn't proper English. Can you explain why it’s written that way?

Hello! This is such an interesting question.
Alice in Wonderland is a lovely story to read to your child. You are quite correct in saying that 'curiouser' isn't correct grammar. The correct form is 'more curious'. Seeing that Alice in Wonderland is a fantasy, the author, Lewis Carrol, obviously took some liberties in the language that he used when writing.

Thanks again for your question, and please reach out if you have any more.
