I need help with identifying coordinating conjunctions, but we’re not sure if we’re doing it right. One of the sentences is: "She wanted to go to the park, but it started raining."

Could you help confirm which word is the conjunction here?

I was helping my nephew with his homework, and he wrote, "You book is on the table." I told him it sounded odd, but I couldn’t explain why. Could you clarify the difference between "you" and "your"?

My daughter has an English homework where she needs to identify participles, but we’re a bit confused on one of the exercises.

Here’s the sentence: "The broken window caused a lot of trouble." She’s not sure if "broken" is acting as a participle here or something else.

Could you help clarify how to identify it?
Also, if you have any tips for her to practice this, that would be awesome!

I was helping my kid with identifying modifiers, and we came across these two exercises that we're a bit unsure about.

"The very tall man walked into the room." We're not sure which part is the modifier here. Is it "very tall," or is it something else?

"She quickly ran to the store because she was running late." We’re confused about whether "quickly" modifies the verb "ran" or something else.

Could you explain?

Can you please help with this dear teacher. My friend confidently said fallacious like "fall-ay-see-us" in a presentation—did they get it right, or should I let them know?

Hello please help with assignment about identifying irregular verbs.

A-underline the irregular verbs in the sentences below:

1-She bought a new dress last week.
2-We have swum in the lake every summer since we were kids.
3-He taught us a fun game during recess.

B-Fill in the blanks with the correct past tense of these irregular verbs:

1-(go) Yesterday, we ___ to the park.
2-(see) I ___ a rainbow after the rain.
3-(write) She ___ a letter to her grandma last night.

Would love it if you could help us confirm the answers! 😊

My son has an English exercise about identifying gerunds.
One of the sentences is: "Swimming in the ocean is my favorite hobby." Could you help us figure out which word is the gerund?

Hi! My friend texted, "Any one of us can help," but I think they meant "anyone can help." Are both correct, or is there a difference in meaning?

Ulwa needs help with identifying complex sentences, and we’re scratching our heads with it. One question asks, Which of these is a complex sentence:

She went to the store because she needed milk or She went to the store and bought milk?

Any tips on how to explain this would be awesome!

I was reading about unusual phobias with my children and came across "hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia."

I tried saying it out loud, but I got lost halfway and just gave up. Now I’m wondering—how do you actually pronounce this word?

Hey Miss, my kiddo is doing an assignment on past participles, and some of the irregular verbs are giving us a headache! The instructions say to rewrite the sentences in the present perfect tense using the correct past participle. Here's one we’re unsure about:

"They (go) to the museum several times this year."

I’d really appreciate it if you could take a look.

Helloo I was helping my Lena with a food project, and we came across "focaccia." I guessed it was "foh-KAY-sha," but Lena burst out laughing, saying it sounded wrong. Are there any pronunciation rules that could help avoid mistakes like this?
