Meet your English teacher Ann Day!

Hello! I'm Ann Day, in my ESL teaching career, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of students across various age levels and cultural backgrounds. I have taught English to both children and adults, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. This included grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I have provided personalized support to learners with specific language goals, such as preparing for exams (IELTS, TOEFL), improving conversational fluency, or acquiring job-related English. I find it incredibly rewarding to witness students progress from struggling with basic phrases to holding full conversations or succeeding in exams and careers due to their improved English. Teaching ESL constantly challenges me to evolve as an educator. I enjoy learning about linguistics, exploring new teaching methods, and keeping up with global English trends. Many ESL students face anxiety or self-doubt. Helping them overcome these barriers and express themselves clearly gives me a strong sense of purpose. In summary, my ESL teaching experience has equipped me with practical skills and cultural sensitivity, while my motivation is fueled by a genuine desire to help others succeed through language learning.
