Hi, my name is Ruby C, and I’m a teacher from New Zealand with nearly ten years of teaching experience. Over the years, I’ve worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, including Vietnam, China, Korea, Czechia, and Spain, in both one-on-one and group classes, online and in person. My teaching style is very student-focused. I see myself as a guide rather than someone who simply gives answers, and I enjoy helping students build their confidence step by step. I aim to create a warm, positive, and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Building a good connection with my students is really important to me. When students feel comfortable, they are more open, more engaged, and more willing to try. I also encourage students to connect English to their everyday lives so it becomes something practical and meaningful. Outside of teaching, I’m interested in many things like science, psychology, philosophy, and art, and I find these interests often help me make lessons more engaging and thoughtful. I also like painting, reading, hiking, and surfing. I genuinely enjoy teaching and supporting students, and I look forward to helping more kids grow in their confidence and ability in English and overall confidence.
