En anglais, la conjugaison est simple\u2026 mais la logique temporelle est beaucoup plus nuanc\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le pass\u00e9<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prenons deux exemples souvent confondus :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Le pr\u00e9sent parfait<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I have eaten<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) d\u00e9crit une action pass\u00e9e dont le r\u00e9sultat compte encore maintenant\u00a0:\u00a0 \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai mang\u00e9, donc je n\u2019ai plus faim.\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Le pass\u00e9 simple<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I ate yesterday<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) parle d\u2019un fait compl\u00e8tement termin\u00e9, sans lien avec le pr\u00e9sent.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En fran\u00e7ais, nous utilisons souvent le m\u00eame temps, le pass\u00e9 compos\u00e9, pour exprimer les deux id\u00e9es\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0j\u2019ai mang\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Ce n\u2019est donc pas \u00e9vident \u00e0 comprendre, car le fran\u00e7ais n\u2019a pas vraiment d\u2019\u00e9quivalent exact du pr\u00e9sent parfait, ni des autres formes du parfait, comme le <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">past perfect<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le pr\u00e9sent continu<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La forme continue sert \u00e0 exprimer une action en train de se d\u00e9rouler.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am reading<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2192 \u00ab Je suis en train de lire. \u00bb<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais le pr\u00e9sent continu pose parfois probl\u00e8me aux apprenants francophones lorsqu\u2019il est utilis\u00e9 pour le futur dit \u00ab\u00a0proche\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am meeting my friend tomorrow<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2192 \u00ab Je vois mon ami demain. \u00bb<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cette structure indique que la rencontre est d\u00e9j\u00e0 arrang\u00e9e\u00a0: elle exprime un futur pr\u00e9vu et planifi\u00e9, pas simplement une pr\u00e9diction.
